Protect Freedom of Choice

This is a quick announcement for those of you who may have missed the news earlier. The FDA has once again extended the comment period until May 29 regarding their proposed new “guidance”, after extending comments once and then rescinding that extension.

This proposed new “guidance” is worded in such a way to open the door for the FDA to completely eliminate any alternative modalities, such as energy work, nutritional counseling, use of herbs, natural juices, etc. in a draconian overreaching of power. The FDA also would consider itself in a position to refuse to allow medical doctors to use these alternatives instead of the usual drug prescriptions.

No legislation would be required as this is a word juggling action that evades the intent of the law and extends FDA power by FDA manipulation.

So much for respecting freedom of choice! More information is available at this link and also this link. Please research this further and file your comments with the FDA if you want to continue to have your freedom of choice.

Weddings, Butterflies, and Assorted Adventures

Starbucker over at Ramblings from a Glass Half Full just posted about officiating at a wedding, a first for him. One of the delightful features of this particular wedding is the release of butterflies at the end of the ceremony.

My main experience with butterflies at weddings has been in my stomach, as I have been called upon to officiate at four of them. I actually never intended to do any, but life takes some odd turns.

I set myself up for it by getting one of those mail order minister licenses when I was traveling 30,000 to 40,000 miles a year doing shows with my jewelry. I was also doing a lot of reiki at the time and the minister license helped at the time to deal with the patchwork quilt of regulations that vary from state to state or even county to county.

Still, I had not expected to perform any weddings. We opened RiverStone Gallery and happened to make wedding rings for a couple who decided that they wanted to get married in our gallery with me performing the ceremony! This was with about 12 hours notice. I definitely had butterflies, but did manage to get them married.

The next wedding was my daughter’s and it was a pleasure to do the ceremony for them. We went to a lovely state park on Whidbey Island in Washington and had the wedding in the midst of huge old trees overlooking Puget Sound. I recall having butterflies then too.

More time passed and a couple of good friends of ours decided to marry in a most unusual manner. Dan is a fly fishing guide and outfitter with his own lodge, Beartooth Fly Fishing. Nancy was president of the Madison/Gallatin Trout Unlimited chapter and also a fishing maniac. What could be more natural than to have the wedding on a fly fishing float on the Madison River behind the lodge?

We had made elaborate rings for them, complete with wee fishing scenes and they chose to see the rings first at the time they exchanged them during the ceremony. While they were doing so, I sneaked down to the boats and put a smuggled Just Married sign on the back of their boat, with trailing ribbons tied to floating plastic pop bottles. I thought I was done with weddings at that point, but life holds many surprises. We have a friend who has never married, but had been flabbergasted when an adult daughter turned up in his life. He and the daughter’s mother had broken up before she knew she was pregnant. The baby he did not know existed had been adopted and eventually searched for her birth parents.

So my single friend had to learn about being a daddy and a granddaddy in one fell swoop. She was divorced but when it came time to remarry, she and her fiancé decided to fly to Montana so they could include her birth father, since he had never had such an experience.

I was asked to perform this ceremony as well. This was a tiny wedding, attended only by the couple, her birth father, myself, and two witnesses who did not know the couple.

In all the previous weddings I had had plenty of butterflies in stomach and felt oddly out of place, as in “What am I doing, performing a wedding anyway?!?” Those were prior to developing Crystalline Consciousness Technique™, so I tried applying CCT to this wedding.

On the way to the ranch I set up my energy fields with CCT with the couple. I set up the energy fields of the couple, myself, and the attendees of the wedding. The intention used in these processes was to support their loving intentions for each other.

Then I opened a full CCT session for the couple, the attendees of the wedding, and myself. I invoked the appropriate sacred geometry healing chambers and left the session open for the ceremony itself to be the intention for the session.

We went to the pond for the ceremony and I felt completely at ease in the situation. Not a butterfly anywhere in my stomach, which I found astonishing. I felt a huge heart opening in our whole little group as the ceremony began.

The couple had thought out their vows with loving clarity and at the appropriate time, they each spoke their vows to each other. He was born in Spain and she did not speak Spanish. But she had some of her vows secretly translated into Spanish and had been taught how to say them.

This so amazed him he burst into tears when she spoke to him. So did the rest of us. I don’t recall ever feeling such a deep heart connection within a group.

The couple who had just paused to be witnesses as a favor to the birth father were so moved that they keep in touch with the couple now. I saw these witnesses in town a few months later.

As they had been on their way to another wedding upriver, I asked how the two weddings compared. She laughed and said the other one was nice, but did not have the depth of connection of the one at the pond. She thought it was the most amazing wedding of all.

I now know that if I get tapped for any more weddings, I will definitely use the CCT to anchor those loving intentions again, that worked incredibly well! It also was quite unusual for me to feel so relaxed and natural in the role of performing the ceremony.

I probably will not do any more weddings, but releasing butterflies at the end of one instead of squelching them internally at the beginning of the wedding really sounds good!

Freedom of Choice in Food Supplements Update

I posted an alert on the FDA’s proposed new “Guidance” on Complementary and Alternative Medicine in a note at the beginning of the Carnival of Creative Growth 3. The Natural Solutions Foundation sent this statement in their latest newsletter.

Although the FDA denied our request to extend the comment, failed to update its site
or its comment tally, extended the comment period and then rescinded the extension
(!), our collective voice won us a huge victory in Congress today. Because we
rallied behind our health freedom and access to natural health products, every
member of the Senate voting today heard us loud and clear and acted — without a
single dissenting voice — to protect our health freedom!

The vote was unanimous to prevent changes to the way food supplements are regulated by the FDA so they cannot expand their fiat with the proposed new Guidance.

This is not an across the board victory, as more is occurring than the issue of food supplements, but this is significant in that a large popular demand for freedom of choice in these areas is getting a positive response from our lawmakers.

Group Healing Concepts

I constantly use Crystalline Consciousness Technique™, also called CCT, on a daily basis for both personal and group healing and evolution. This new modality is a specific energy process designed to rapidly propel intentions into manifestation. While CCT works well on the personal level, it has its fullest expression in group matters. These groups can be family groups, business and workplace groups, community groups, clubs, and other kinds of organizations which have their own group identity.

The underlying philosophy of CCT provides insight into the ways an individual can bring healing intentions into any of the groups in which he or she participates. These concepts, while intrinsic to CCT, can be applied to other approaches if the individual is not trained in CCT and uses the Law of Attraction, prayer, or other methods.

At the heart of the CCT approach to group healing lies the concept of free will and choice and the fundamental importance of honoring free will and choice in others. Manipulative and invasive techniques are not part of this process because they violate that free will and choice. This in itself may initially appear to make it impossible for an individual to initiate a group healing.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. An important distinction has to be made between individuals and the groups to which they belong. Individuals have free will and choice so within the CCT process no one else may bring intentions for another adult. Parents have specific responsibilities for their children, so they can bring intentions for their young children.

Groups, however, have a different energy dynamic of their own. Above and beyond each of the individuals lies the larger group energy. Each member of the group participates in that group energy and can bring intentions into the group energy. These intentions are for the group energy dynamic, and not for specific individuals, who each carry their own personal intentions intact.

To give an example, a town may be experiencing a group controversy. One faction within the town may be using illegal and underhanded techniques to further their particular cause. Another faction may advocate full public disclosure and decision making.

The faction wanting public disclosure can approach this by bringing intentions for the town group energy such as, “Let the truth be revealed so right action follows.” This intention brings integrity to the public process without violating individual free will and choice. The individuals pursuing illegal manipulative techniques are entirely likely to continue lying and not honoring the truth, which is their choice.

However, the group dynamic of the town will then bring those lies into the open if the intention of letting the truth be revealed is properly activated. Consequently, the intention brought for the group will affect everyone in that group without violating their personal decision making.

That last sentence carries a kicker it is wise to consider. An intention brought for a group affects all members of the group equally in their participation in the group energy, not just the apparent “bad guys.” Those who bring the intentions will find unexpected changes for themselves as well as for the more obvious candidates in the situation. How does this work?

We are accustomed to viewing others with the concept of separation. I am myself and not that person over there. We further become judgmental when viewing those others. In terms of group energies, this approach dead ends in problems which defy easy solution.

Rather than blaming individuals for negative behaviors within our groups, another key concept for clear understanding is required. This concept is that any member of a group who appears to be causing a problem is actually only illustrating a problem that is within the group and also in all members of the group in some form.

This evaporates the blame game and allows new and useful ways to regard problem members in our groups, as well as look at ourselves individually in the mirror and work on what we see there.

Fred or Sally is communicating poorly? This is an indicator the entire group has a problem with communication. Other individuals may have the pattern showing in more subtle ways, but the problem inevitably will be present in some form.

The solution is not to “fix” Fred or Sally, but to address the basic communication problem within the whole group that those individuals are publicly demonstrating. The intention is not for Fred or Sally to communicate better, which would violate their individual choices, but instead to bring the intention for clear communications within the group. The clear communication intention for the group dynamic opens new and unexpected possibilities for all the individuals participating in the group and simultaneously brings powerful healing to the group communication patterns.

Since intentions steer the process, developing intentions which accurately target the desired result is crucial. In Crystalline Consciousness Technique™ these intentions are stated in completely positive terms because the energy body ignores negatives. However, if it is difficult to identify the appropriate intention for a situation, one can simply ask, “What do I not want?” An answer immediately appears. The next question is, “What would be the best replacement for what I do not want?” That answer is the intention.

Refining intentions constitutes a creative art in itself and I will discuss it further in another article.

At the heart of this process lies personal responsibility. We are responsible for our personal choices and the resulting consequences, and we are also responsible for our contributions to our groups and those consequences as well. Fortunately we can continue to bring healing into our group dynamics so those consequences are more and more positive ones as we proceed with the process.
